BGP dynamic peers not working after upgrade to Everest

Hello, I have upgraded route reflector in private MPLS network from IOS XE 3.16.5 to Everest 16.6.5 release. After upgrade, dynamic BGP peers did not connect to RR. In debug, I see mesaages such as:

004668: Mar 10 02:07:02.382 MET: BGP:DN: peer-group PE-UWAN is not activated in any af for dynamic neighbor

The peer-group is activated in vpnv4 address family. With old IOS, the same config works ok, so I had to downgrade back. Anybody having the same problem?

Thanks,

David

Hello,

Try disable and enable again the RR in one router in old version. It sounds like a bug.

Yes, after downgrade, everything works again, but the end customer has reason to upgrade to Everest.

I understand.

After upgrade are you reset bgp connection?

Because, there is a bug reported here, mentioning it: https://bst.cloudapps.cisco.com/bugsearch/bug/CSCtj67572/?rfs=iqvred

If you you already reset bgp connection, try it running at least of two routers at the same IOS version.

After upgrade, the new connections were not established, so there is nothing to reset.
