Hi,

are you sure this is a complete syslog message?

IMHO, it should start with %BGP-x-...

where x is a severity.

You could paste it into the CCO Error Message Decoder tool to anaylze.

It looks to me like some "SNMP trap sent" message, possibly?

BR,

Milan

Yes, I copied it straight from the router log. Im pretty sure thats the entire thing.

I am going to look into the "CCO Error Message Decoder tool " you speak of and paste the answer here.

It will not work, I'm afraid.

Requires %BGP... or %STP.. ,etc. in the mesage beginning.

And it's really how syslog messages usually look like:

"Sep 15 10:26:05: %BGP-5-ADJCHANGE: neighbor x.x.x.x Up", e.g.

Looks like the logs of juniper :). The logs tells something happens in the link between the local BGP speaker and its remote peer (maybe the link went down, congested, unavailable?).

Danilo,

You are correct. This log message comes from a JUNOS box and it reveals that there was a problem with the link between the two peers.
