Hello Damien,
I think that the switch tries to boot on what has been defined in the boot statment(s) => boot system commands..
As the switch does not find the file (defined by the boot statments) it tries to boot on the next found image (here the old => c2960-lanbase-mz.122-35.SE5/ c2960-lanbase-mz.122-35.SE5.bin)..
In fact, in the boot.jpg we need to see the complete boot bath.
If you issue a ‘show running | include boot’ I suppose you will see
=> boot system c2960-lanbasek9-mz.150-1.SE.bin
If yes you can normalize the boot statments by entering the following commands =>
no boot system c2960-lanbasek9-mz.150-1.SE.bin
boot system flash:c2960-lanbasek9-mz.150-1.SE.bin
write mem
show boot should then show the complete path. Then reload and check.
============================================================================
Also we can see in the flash that the old IOS is a .tar image (in the form of a directory in the flash => c2960-lanbase-mz.122-35.SE5/c2960-lanbase-mz.122-35.SE5.bin).
It contains the .bin file and other html files...(cd c2960 ..... to see what is inside).
FYI, you may certainly know it but the upgrade procedure for the .tar image is different => http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/switches/lan/catalyst3750/software/release/15.0_1_se/release/notes/OL25301.html#wp1042738 (applicable for 2960).
Hope that helps
Kind regards.
Karim

Hi,
Please use the comand " boot flash" to specify the default boot image in global configuration mode. This should help.

Please stay away from IOS version 15.0(1)SE. I'm still testing 15.0(1)SE1.
