The question is not very clear. Is it that you are unable to connect to only one router through console or any of the routers.

first;

thank u for your care;

i'm unable to connect to one router through console ;

this done to me twice with two different routers but i can connect to other routers normally;

NOTE:- this two routers which i can't connect to them through console i can connect them by telnet.

Hi Friend,

It could be a problem with console port itself.

If you are using the same cable, same machine and same hyperterminal programme and able to console into one router and not other it could be a console port problem.

I hope you have not changed the console baud rate on the router. I hope you are using console baud arte as 9600 from your hyper terminal prog can you also use different baud rate to check if it works.

Hello,

Also adding to the mentioned point of the baud rate, also make sure that the consol port configuration allows traffic

#########

line consol 0

transport input all

Hi,

If you can telnet to to router than you can check the baudrate by show line con 0 command.
