Can somone give me a brief overview of the differances between the new 15.x IOS Types. I see that 15.x has 15S, 15M, 15M&T, as well as special deployment versions and 15.0, 15.1, and 15.2 versions.
I really miss the old labeling scheme of Mainline and T Train versions. It used to be so easy to pick an IOS, I would just pick the latest mainline code unless I needed special features.
In particular I am wanting to upgrade our 7206VXR routers (with NPE G1's) to the latest stable version. I'm not using any special features, other than BGP (iBGP and eBPG) with full internet routing tables.
Can someone provide a recomendation for the best IOS in this situation as well as a quick overview of the differences between the various version types.
Thanks,
Jim

I don't see mention of 15S in that document. When you go to download for a 7206VXR, the choices are 15M and 15S (15T not available for 7206VXR). What is "S", and how does it compare to "M" or "T"?
Thanks,
Ken
