I'm just wondering why I cannot see the modem and hardware version if I'm running sh cellular 0/0/0 all . Is there something that I need to active before ?  Or is there a issue with the hardware module ?

R1#sh cellular 0/0/0 all

Hello,

do you get any output with:

show controller cellular 0/0

?

Try and unshut the cellular interface:

interface Cellular0/0/0
ip address negotiated
encapsulation ppp
--> no shutdown
dialer in-band
dialer idle-timeout 60
dialer string gsm-script
dialer-group 1
async mode interactive
ppp authentication chap callin
ppp chap hostname web.vodafone.de

OK interface is set to "no nut" but get same issues no mobile and hardware version and get only message  "%CELLWAN-2-SEND_TIMEOUT: Cellular0/0/0 not responding"

Hello,

--> Modem is not recognized as valid for this HWIC

This means you have a hardware compatibility issue. Post the output of:

It looks like your HWIC-HSDPA is valid on 1861 but not 1841.

Hello,

there are three different flavors of your card:

HWIC-3G-HSPA

HWIC-3G-HSPA-A

HWIC-3G-HSPA-G

Which one do you have ? Each card only works in specific regions. Check Table 1 in the attached document:
