Hi
I’m testing a 1841 with 2 WIC-1ADSL cards, but the connections are dropping every 30-50mins. If I swap the cars out for HWIC-1ADSL’s then the lines are stable. I’ve had the profiles on the lines dropped the 4mb down and 512k up but I’m still getting the same issue.
I’ve tried a few 1841’s with various IOS’s and different WIC’s but still get the same result.
Has any one seen this before or know how I can go about trouble shooting it?
Thanks
Brasso

The WIC cards are of an older generation, not having all the features needed for today's circuits.
As you have found out, you should only use HWIC ADSL instead.

Hi
Thanks for the answer, but ADSL2+ should support legacy devices and thus the WIC-1ADSL should be stable. They do work and they do get good throughput its just the disconnect every so often.
I’ll do some more digging.
