Hi
I need to buy a high density gigabit switch. Between Cisco 2948 and HP 2848 (similar prizes but HP has a better performance than Cisco (96Gbps vs 20 Gbps)
Any reason for this values? HP and Cisco measure the same parameters?
Thanks

If you want a wirespeed 48 port 10/100/1000 switch, consider the Cisco WS-X4948G which has 96-Gbps nonblocking switch fabric and 72 mpps throughput.
We also have WS-X4948G-10GE which has 2 10gig uplinks with 136-Gbps nonblocking switch fabric and 102 mpps throughput.

Of course, great switch but high prize. I'm looking for a 48 port 10/100/1000 switch about 3000$aprox.
Maybe HP has better prizes and performance than Cisco ?
