Cisco 877 ATM wont Work (837 is working)

I have a problem with my new Cisco 877w device.

It won't bring up my ATM device. Exactly the setting on an Cisco 837 will work !!!!

Who can help me !!

can you post the configuration of the 877 ? Maybe something can be spotted...

Have you tried different DSL operating modes (e.g. anis-dmt) ?

I tried all dsl operating modes (three) and also tried some different mtu sizes.

Sorry dude - we have experienced the same thing in New Zealand, the ADSL line signal was quite strong and the telco tech eventually put in a resistor across the pair but it didn't help the 877 unfortunately.

Had this problem.

It was a code level issue with version 12.3-y12 ad IP Services.

Upgrading to c870-advipservicesk9-mz.123-14.YT.bin cured it.

Well, i tried all 12.3 and 12.4 cisco images, but still no go.

The feature pack advanced security and advanced ip services are both giving the same errors.

I tried all dsl operating modes, different mtu sizes, but still no luck.

I really think this Cisco 877 device is not as great as cisco says !

Do you know what DSLAM your ADSL line is connected to ?. I have had the same problem and both the IOS upgrade to c870-advsecurityk9-mz.123-14.YT.bin and operating-mode ansi-dmt work for me.

If you can find out what DSLAM you are connected to this would be really useful, who is your ISP ?, do you have a circuit ref ?.
