Cisco C819G-4G-G-K9 with Cellular Modul MC7710 IOS Version Support

Hello, everyone,

 

Up to which IOS version is the following router supported with the radio module MC7710?

Cisco C819G-4G-G-K9 with Cellular Modul MC7710

Is that the model where the 4G is built in? If so then it should support be supported in any available release. The newest one I see is

15.9.3M5.

Hello Elliot,

Yes, is the Model where the 4G is built in.

However, when I upgrade to a higher version than 15.3.3M6, I get the following error message from the router log:

%PLATFORM-4-CELLULAR_MODEM_SKU_MISMATCH: Cellular0: Mismatch detected between installed modem MC7710[SKU ID ] on SKU type C819-4G-LTE-G. Expected modem for this SKU is MC7710[SKU ID 9901707]

%CISCO800-2-MODEM_UP: Cellular0 modem is now UP

%CISCO800-2-MODEM_DOWN: Cellular0 modem is now DOWN.

 

How can I assign the correct SKU ID to the cellular modem so that the modem is recognized and accepted correctly?

It is kind of confusing to find, but have you looked for newer modem firmware? I am just guessing because I don't have one of those. I do have a IR829GW-LTE-VZ-AK9 running 15.9(3)M4.

Did you wait a while after the upgrade to the later IOS version? I see another forum post that talks about the modem firmware versions being embedded in the IOS.

Do you see and "spk" files in the flash?

i not found "spk" Files in the flash.

Last thought on this. That modem may not be supported any more. I looked here and the MC7710 wasn't listed.

thanks for the Link,

Isn't Cisco able to solve this problem with a workaround or firmware update so that customers can use their expensive devices again? It would only have to be entered on the MC7710 of SKU ID 9901707 and this card would work again?
