Dear all,
could you guide me how to configure 2 routers with 2 Wan link (2 ISP) for fail over connection?
we have Router 1921 (2 unit) and ISP01 connected to Primary 1921 and ISP02 connected to secondary 1921 .
want to configure when ISP 01 down or router down the connection will switch to secondary router with ISP02.

Hi;
To achieve the Primary and Secondary Router with internet backup you can utilize HSRP for Router backup and with the help of IP SLA to track the primary internet link once link fail it will fail back to secondary and once primary link comes up it will fail back to primary connection.

Dear Philip,
it is for outbound access and allow from outside to inside like 25,443,....
Dear ahmedshoaib,
you mean connect link from primary router and secondary router but on our router has 2 port that we are configure inside and outside. we don't have other port for connecting H/A.
Do we have other solution ?

Hi Rechard;
I want to say that you need to connect your Primary WAN Link (ISP 1) on Router-1 & Secondary WAN link (ISP 2) on Router-2.
Run HSRP on both Routers (inside) which will provide you hardware redundancy.
For Link redundancy you can utilize IP SLA feature to track the primary link once the primary link down the traffic automatically shift to secondary RTR.
Thanks & Best regards;

Hi Rechard,
another option instead of tracking is to activated BGP (eBGP with ISP and iBGP between your routers). In this scenario IPSs have to advertise just the default router to avoid that you receive a full BGP table.

Is this for outbound access only?
