I would like to change this router and configure a Cisco 1841 to connect him to the "ONT".

It's possible? Are th 1841 compatible to this tecnologi, can I configure it to can navigate with him?

Best regards ¡¡¡¡

Hello extrandubi,

the ONT is a device for optical based access networks like PON. that is passive optical network. It is a different OSI layer1 and layer2 then others that are supported on the router or in an optional module.

You should be able to connect your C1841 downstream the ONT to one LAN port of the ONT but not in place of it.

Hope to help

Giuseppe
