Data Sheet of module is saying you need 15.1(4)M.  Your IOS is a "T" train and may not work.

Hi Leo,

I would find it strange for an IOS only 3.5 generation older than the first supported release to not recognize an up-to-date EHWIC even though, of course, that is entirely possible. However, the second link from the original poster's document says: "Use the show version command to ensure that the router is running Cisco IOS Release 15.1(4)M or later."

Let's find out if the module is at least recognized as being inserted. Would it be possible to post the output of the show diag and show inventory commands please?

Best regards,
Peter

The only thing I would add to this is the router has an uptime of 2 weeks and 3 days.

The card does not support OIR so have you rebooted the router since installing the card ?

Jon

Jon,

Perfect observation. I have missed it completely.

Best regards,
Peter

the router is right now in production and working  temporary on HWIC card only

need to test with one of the spare router after adding i will reboot the router

Guys,

Just a quick update that i have asked one team member to do the same.he shutdown the router and interested the card and rebooted but that card didnt came up

show diag he did not capture but he said its not detecting even in show run the interface are not showing

Can you get a "sh inventory" from the router ?

Jon

Jon,

What is OIR?

CF

Never mind. I found it myself.

I have asked the user to get one spare router and get the show inventory logs .waiting for his updates

Got the things from one test router having different image .please find below.,

It would show as unknown with this router though because the IOS version definitely won't support it as per your original post.

So unfortunately this only tells us what we would have expected to see.

Jon

Not sure, Peter.

Never tried this model of HWIC card before.

Sorry for the late response.  Went interstate to watch The Eagles concert.

Was it any good ?

Did they do Lyin Eyes  ?
