Hi
Does anyone know if the order in which they are shown in the topology table influences to be chosen as FD when the principal falls? or just based on the best metric to choose because the 3rd option have best metric than 2nd option.
router#sh ip eigrp topo detail-links | beg 192.50.250.0
P 192.50.250.0/24, 1 successors, FD is 16571245, serno 25117240
via 172.22.55.55 (16571245/1310720), Tunnel0 <<< the actual FD
via 172.11.115.224 (1644482560/79298560), Serial0/1/0:1
171.21.11.35 via 172.28.11.20 (53084160/46530560), Tunnel1
via 177.21.3.22 (1638584320/73400320), Serial0/1/1:1
thanks and regard.

It is my understanding that the order of listing in the table does not influence which one will be chosen when the currently active one fails.

Hi
As Richard mentioned, the order is not important, the selected path is based on metrics.
