I'm moving this https://supportforums.cisco.com/message/2016937#2016937 discussion here because I feel I will get a quicker response.
In a nutshell the setup is as below:
ASR1004=={ GRE }==C7206
I need to run layer 2 services between the 2 without mpls support from the service provider. Unfortunatelly there is no specific detail on getting EoMPLSoGRE up and running.
I have the GRE tunnel working and I have mpls forced to my loopbacks and the xconect configured on the 2 router interfaces.
however the mpls forwarding table on the 7206 shows the outgoing interface is 'none' and I cannot pass any traffic across.
7206>sh mpls forwarding-table
Local Outgoing Prefix Bytes tag Outgoing Next Hop
tag tag or VC or Tunnel Id switched interface
200 Untagged l2ckt(303) 0 none point2point
On the ASR it looks fine:
asr>sh mpls forwarding-table labels 201
Local Outgoing Prefix Bytes Label Outgoing Next Hop
Label Label or VC or Tunnel Id Switched interface
201 No Label l2ckt(303) 0 Gi0/0/7 point2point
Thanks

Hello,
have a look at this nice document
I'm afraid it is not supported on C7200.
What IOS image is running on C7200 and what NPE model is present?
Hope to help
Giuseppe

Thanks for the response.
I'm running Version 12.4(11)T4 with a NPE-G1 processor.
I will try out the example on the case study before i give up.

Hey,
I know this thread has been here since 2 years back, but I currently need to do Data Center Interconnect (DCI) and need somebody to tell me that this solution (EoMPLSoGRE) does actually work.
On what platforms?
What IOS?
Please advise.
Thanks
