Hi
From the error messages posted its obvious that some of the processes are hogging the cpu, basically appears to hang on for a long time.
Below links will help to understand and troubleshoot the same...

Thanks for trying to help AK but this is not solving my problem. None of these errors are related to mine at all.
I'm using a Cisco 877W Router with c870-advipservicesk9-mz.124-6.T.bin version of IOS.
This error occurs when I do a show run
%SYS-3-CPUHOG: Task is running for (10000)msecs, more than
(5000)msecs (10/3),process = Exec.
-Traceback= 0x80132F54 0x801332A0 0x8012B328 0x80127680 0x80164034 0x80163BE4 0x

what is the CPU utilization? If the CPU usage is high because of IP input process, then the router is process-switching a lot of IP traffic. Enable CEF to lower the CPU usage by this process.
you have mentioned that router experience power failure, so does it mean there was a power outage to this device or router rebooted itself, after which you started getting these messages.

power outage and immediately afterwards this started happening. There is no config on the router and a 'show run' still creates this error.

Does anyone have any idea what could be the cause of my problem? I'm still stuck .... :(

Hi Brad,
I have tried to identify the issue with the Cisco Bug Toolkit. but i could not find a fault. An easy way to identify bugs is to download an IOS. when you get to the page to download the IOS it tells you if there are any bugs. And the version you have on the 877 is loaded with em. The next best non-buggy version is 12.4.6T6 (ED). Get your hands on it and upgrade the IOS. your issue should stop.
HTH. Please rate if it does.
Thanks
Stephen

Hi Stephen,
Thanks for adivce. Will get a copy of the IOS but its only this router that's doing this. There are several other same model and IOS routers out at clients and none have produced this error.

Try it out anyway. I have a feeling it will work. Just as an aside. I have installed many 877's, and from time to time i get 'funny ones'.
I can't quite put my finger on it but just like yours i install a few with same IOS n everything but one or two always fall flat on their face. Then they need an IOS upgrade.
I never heard anything offical about them being faulty. But i have more confidence in the older 837's. (my two cents)
Cheers
Stephen
