Hello
I was wondering if it would be advisable to manually input my WAN default route as well as it being obtained. I ask because when it is obtained manually via PPPoE it does not show up in "static routes". Curious if I should also manually make a route.
outside 0.0.0.0/0 <wan ip>

Hello
In this instance as it seems the receiving device is a PPPOE client then I would suggest to add the static default route manually.
When a default route is received dynamically depending on what process its received by the default routing metric can be different, but adding a static default manually you can control that metric.

can you more elaborate?

When configured as PPPoE there is a checkbox (selected) that states "obtain default route automatically" and I assume it does as I can access the Internet but when I go to static routes on the FPR, it shows 0.
Clearly a route has to be there as my LAN can access the Internet but would I still need to add a static route to outside for any other purpose?

You do need static route to add, the DHCP get Route automatically
>show route will show you route
