Hi, I configured the following lines for a cisco 3825 which needs an E1 interface to connect to a PBX and a E1 interfaces to connect to a E1 G.703 Wan link, however I am not sure wheter or not I need to add all these parts such as NM-HDV and DSP or are they included?? If included is it enough to place only the VWICs cards ???

Hi, since you have access to the configurator, first you can look for the voice bundle, in that case the 3825 will come with a pvdm2-64,
second you don't need the nm-hdv, instead use a two port vwic or vwic2, one port PBX and the other data circuit,
note you can use also the non- G.703 version, worst case it will allow you only 31 timeslots (1984 Kbps) instead of the full unframed 2.048 mbps circuit.
Note if budget constrains you can do that with as little a 2801 and will work nice, or a 2821 that comes in voice bundle with the pvdm2-32 that is what you actually need.
Hope this helps, please rate post if it does!

Hi, thanks for your answers. I thought about the series 2800 but this branch office serves about 300 users, so I am not sure wheter this model could support this user density, would it?
The E1 interface for the data circuit requires to be G.703 and to have a BNC connector, what are my options then?

Hola Monica,
The number of user does not really matter much, what matters is the speed of WAN circuit. With E1 speed, any 2800 router can handle the traffic.
Regarding the interface, all E1's are G.703, G.703 defines the physical caracteristics of the circuit, in your case E1 unbalanced.
What you want to verify is if the circuit is a true unframed, then using the G.703 version of VWIC or VWIC2 allows you to configure unframed, and run at 2.048 Mbps, while with a "non G.703", you will configure a channel-group of 31 timeslots, and the speed will be of 1.984 Mbps. The difference in price can often justify the second choice.
Espero este sea util, al ser asi' no olvides calificar!
