how do find packet loss

We hv cisco 3500 series switch , We suspect sm packet loss in our network.. How do i check packet loss if it is in switch.. Any command or else

Do Check your switch for any high cpu utilisation also look out the ports of errors..

The above said points will help to start your troubleshooting process..

Also check your logs to find whether you are getting any errors..

Hi ,

Few things you cud do :

1. Check for interface errors

2. Try giving a PING with high packet size and also an extended ping.

3. Check CPU utilization

4. Check the traffic( too many users may cause packet loss)
