It looks you can switchover to the redundant RP by "redundancy force-switchover" command.
But what about the ESP?
How can I switchoever to the redundant ESP w/o waiting for a failure on active blade to occur?
I've gone through several config guides, but all they talk about is high availability for routing protocols and SSO.

Have you tried the 'redundancy force-switchover fp' command.

Was just wondering what the fp option does.
Probably stands for forwarding processor.
thank you.

You are right, FP stands for Forwarding Processor (ESP).
Kind Regards,
Ivan Shirshin
