i have a cisco 2901 wiz 2 wic ADSL modem , one of them is working fine and the other have problem from time to time
the problem is that suddenly i find that the atm interface is down and the dilaer interface is up
and nothing fix this problem until a reboot ---
neither shut and no shut on intyerfaces or unplug the line physically and plug it again solve the probem
and this is the show command that i collected may be help to solve the problem

In cases like this, you may have better results using an external ADSL modem.
However, you can also try ADSL FW 0.0.0.26, that is supposedly the most stable. It is available under 877 downloads.

can i upgrade the adsl modem firmware without upgrading the os of the router or i have to upgrade the os of the router ?

You can update ADSL fimware indipendently from IOS.

so u r telling me that is the same firmware for my hwic-adsl module ?
i will try to get it and see what i can do ..
but the problem is this 2901 have 2 adsl wic
one is working great and the other facing problem
even when i try to upgrade the speed of the 2 lines
one works great and the other can't accept the upgraded speed
and the atm interface is down when the line is upgraded
i m thinking to get back to my normal adsl router

i cant find a source tells me that is compatible with my router , so r u sure about this ?
and how can i load it ?
just i copy it on the flash and reboot the router or i have to do something else ?
