Hello,
I'd like to know the proper procedure for installation, please. Does it require the router to be powered off? Any help would be appreciated.
Best regards.

this might assist you. But yes, you will have to have some down time.

here is a short step:
1. issue the "sh diag" to verify the slot
2. configure card type "card type t1 slot# where slot# is the one return from sh diag.

I am not sure but it should work with ver 12.4
Are you issuing the command from the config mode? what do you get from sh diag?

I have not installed 2nd WIC card yet; I have WIC-1DSU-T1-V2 card already installed in WIC slot 0, for the existing T1 line.Still I can't use "card" command, so I'm afraid that I will not be able to make proper configuration for additional T1 line..

That is a T1 only card and you don't need to enter card type command
