Hi All,
Im having issues with one of our T1's.Im seeing the reliability going up and down on the interface due to which there are too many carrier transitions and lot of input and crc errors are being generated. The other end router shows up clean.I have got the link tested by the Telco. Moreover I have tried changing the router port, the cable, the CSU/DSU but nothing has helped.
Has someone faced such an issue and what was the workaround for this problem ???
TIA
regards,
Sachin

hi
afaik if you are facing crcs it should be of some physical line issue only.
u hve mentioned that your telco has tested the link but did u get it looped from ur telco swith and
checked up at ur router end ?
since the other end is also clean its upto ur telco switch and ur router interface..
would suggest again to get that checked properly.
also u can isolate the probabilities by looping at ur premises towards ur router and check whether its clean or not.

This is definitly a Telco issue. Pound the telco to get a design from them.i.e. is there a mux or repeater in the design? How far is the smartjack from the CO? Have head to head testing done by lec and frame-relay carrier. Definitly a teco issue. It is a matter of getting them to admit and repair the problem. Also may be a remote site meaning far distance from the CO.

I got alittle hasty there with my response. I have seen framing mismatches between the Cisco router and the Telco switch. A simple reboot of the router resolves that.
