Hi,
so far I've found this link http://www.cisco.com/networkers/nw99_pres/601.pdf which explain IOS basics for low/mid-end platforms (maybe is a bit old....)
Slide 45/46 show steps involved in input & output processing for process-switched packets
Now I do not understand clearly where routing (forwarding) decision is made.....in Input processing (slide 45) the last box is labeled Attempt to forward packet whereas in IP Process Output (slide 46) there is a Look up Route box
Any expert can help me in understanding it ?
Thanks in advance,
Carlo.
