Dear all,
I have a cisco 2911 router that is located in my head office LAN and I use this router to connect to my branch networks. I want to configure IP SLA Monitor on this router to track my WAN Links but it does not support the command IP SLA Monitor. My IOS VERSION is c2900-universalk9-mz.SPA.151-2.T1.bin. Please help tell me how I can configure IP SLA on my router.
Any assistance will be highly appreciated.

Hello Claude,
Have you tried using command reference for 15.1 M&T:

Please have a look at it and see if it helps.

Hi,
You probably have the IP Base license activated. for IP SLA you need Data license
No need to change IOS ,but What you need is an activation key from Cisco which will enable the new features.
I also faced some problem some time back .with default base IOS IP SLA will not work

Hi Haris,
You are right, IP Base License does not support IP SLA according to the section "Universal IOS Packaging Overview" on the following URL:
But what I want to know is will IP SLA become available if I purchase just security license without data license?

The Data Technology Package License part number SL-29-DATA-K9 was changed to the AppX Technology Package License that includes DATA and WAAS features with part number SL-29-APP-K9.
SL-29-APP-K9 (AppX License for Cisco 2900 Series) - USD 1,000.00
Please check the Change in Product Part Number Announcement for the Cisco 2900 Series Integrated Services Routers Data Technology Package Licenses link below for your reference(s):

Hi, with the new APP technology package, does the IP SLA feature require de SL-29-APP-K9 or it's now included in IP Base?
Thank you.
