IP SLA not able to Generate syslog messages

Hi,

I have set up IP SLA on a device and probing 10 different devices from it.

Everything is working except that I am not able to generate syslog messages.

This is my configration :

ip sla 1

udp-echo 10.83.xx.xx 2000

threshold 25

  frequency 10

history lives-kept 2

history filter failures

ip sla reaction-configuration 1 react rtt threshold-value 25 22 threshold-type immediate action-type trapOnly

I have these two commandsd in place as well:

ip sla logging traps

snmp-server enable traps ipsla

Any idea what i am doing wrong or what am I missing?

Hi,

1. Try this command:

snmp-server enable traps rtr

Pls let me know.

2. You can also configure EEM (Embedded Event Manager) script to monitor the IP SLA.

I tried the command but it didnot work.

Intrestingly, i tried the Reaction-configuration to react on Timeout and I could see the syslog messages.

Is the RTT in my command latest RTT or average RTT?
