Is it Okay to install VIC 2E/Mto HWIC Slot on Cisco 3800 Router

Hi Guys,

May I know your opinion if it is right to install the VIC 2E/M on HWIC Slot on a Cisco 3800 Router.

As we checked the ff logs:

sh inventory

-VIC 2E/M appeared on the detected hardware

sh voice-port summary

-Why I can't issue this command

I tried also to configure the new Voice Ports to have an IP Address but i cannot go to the voice port mode. I saw on sh run the 2 new voice ports added.

My question guys is if VIC is okay to install on HWIC Slot? What would be the effect of it?

Does my current IOS having some problem with this?

Also I've added new PVDM2-8. My existing PVDM installed on the Router is PVDM2-64. Is there any effect on this?

You may need to check the ios version, or upgrade to ipadvance services it depends if the hardware support the upgrade!!"

OK, But it's not wrong to install VIC on an HWIC slot?

My Current IOS now is C3845-SPServicesK9-M2-150-IM4.bin

So Do I really need to upgrade to IPadvance Services?
