I have a backup tunnel bulit on the BRI interface. When i do a ISDN test call, the layer 1 shows as activating, but it gets deactivated soon after that. what might be the problem?

Hi Navneet,
I faced this issue sometime back and the reaosn was the change in the number to which I was calling. So can you confirm the same.
Also this could be due to mismatch user name and password. Dont forget to check that also.
HTH, if yes please rate the post.

Hi
I would suggest to check out the Physical line voltage too to make sure that you are up with the physical layer first.

sometime it will work or try changing NT-1.

If you are doing the ISDN Test Call command then all you will prove out is that the ISDN makes the call. The remote end will answer to it, however if you are using CHAP or PAP then your call will drop. The test call does not incorporate your interface parameters, just makes a test call...Please rate..
