I Have cisco catalyst 2960-S switch with fortinet 30E as a gateway.

have default vlan 1 and one new vlan 22

I want to add few ports to both the vlan 1 and 22 so that i can connect the wifi access points to that port and access both vlan's via wifi.

what is the access point model you are using. as you request we can configure port as trunk mode and allow vlan 1 and 22 for that. but some access points (controlled via capwap tunnels)  needs only access mode port and management network assigned to that.

  1. If you are using AP with CAPWAP, then configure that port as access port in WLAN management VLAN.
  2. If you have a local brackeout (Flex connect / autonomous (FAT) AP), then configure a trank port with allowed VLANs 1 and 22; trank native WLAN Management VLAN

Yes @Kasun Bandara correct it depend on AP you use is it Local or Central Switching.
