Hello Everyone,

r1--area1--r2----area0---r3--area2---r4--area0--r5---area1--r6

r1's loopback 1.1.1.1 in area 1

r3's loopback 33.33.33.33 in area 2

r4's loopback 44.44.44.44 in area 2

1) r3 has r1's loopback(1.1.1.1) in the routing table but it won't forward it to r4. But if I shut down R4's interface pointing to  r5. I see r1's loopback(1.1.1.1) in R4's routing table. Why is this behavior?

2) I am trying to create a virtual link between r3 and r4. But the virtual link is down.

R3:-

router ospf 1
area 2 virtual-link 44.44.44.44

R4:-
router ospf 1
area 2 virtual-link 33.33.33.33

What is wrong with the configuration ?

Thanks,
Sachin
