Possible Routing Issue

Fuzz_Therapy

We just replaced our core and are having an issue with our VDI environment.

The ip range for these devices is:

10.240.0.100 - 10.240.5.254

Subnet: 255.255.240.0

If a VDI device boots up and pulls one of the 10.240.0.x addresses it connects and works fine.  But if it pulls anything from 10.240.1.x-10.240.5.x it wont boot.  Routing and netmask appears correct, just curious if anyone had any suggestions on what to look for.

Hello,

routing in what context, what does the network look like ? Which default gateway is assigned to the devices ?

We ended up finding the issue.  Turns out the PVS servers had a 255 netmask instead of 240.  How they ever worked in the past, I have no idea.  Should have never worked.

Thanks for the reply anyways, Georg.

Good stuff, glad you have got it resolved...

Possibly proxy ARP was enabled somewhere in the past "fixing" the wrong mask issue?

Milan
