Need advice on selecting the appropriate router to support a 600Mbps WAN circuit we utilize for replication. Currently, we are running a 2821 router on a 300Mbps circuit. I have looked at the 2900/3900 series routers, however I want to select the right hardware that will provide for future growth to 1Gbps if necessary.

In Cisco's current router line-up, for 600 Mbps you'll likely want to consider using an entry ASR 1000 series routers. (Note: the 7200s also are well positioned for this capacity, but http://www.cisco.com/en/US/prod/collateral/routers/ps341/end_of_life_c51-681414.html.)
An alternative for 600 Mbps MetroE, might be a MetroE switch (or even an ordinary LAN L3) switch; really depends on your feature requirements.
