Serial is reset ,protocol is down

Does anybody have an idea about the ;

Serial3/0 is reset ,protocol is down

What can be the cause of this problem?

it seems you have a layer 2 or 1 problem , are you using the correct encapsulation that your peer use ?

in the case of a frane-relay are using the adequate lmi type (cisco ietf q933a )?

are you using no keepalive ? after three atempts it put the line down if there is no keepalives.

do a (clear interface counters ) and watch it again .\

I want to learn the cause of the RESET word.Why it doesnt show "serial is down"?
