I am looking for suggestions for a small VPN router. Something that my users can just plug into their home Internet to set up a VPN back to the 5500 series ASA at the office. It would be preferable if it were WIFI enabled and small enough to not take up too much shelf or desk space.
I was thinking about an 800 series but was wondering if anyone had any better ideas or suggestions. This is to be something that I can program at the office and then send out for the remote worker to have an always up connection. This is for a small company, I am trying to keep this cost effective and secure.
Thank you for any help that you may give.

A Cisco 800 could be used. I would also consider to use a Cisco Meraki MX Appliance at the HQ and the Cisco Meraki Z3 at the HO. Much simpler setup and even easier to manage.

Hi there,
After seeing this post I had a play with a designing an alternative solution over the xmas break. Its finally polished and functional to suggest as an option:

You could use any RPi with an USB wireless NIC, but the above post uses a RPi3 and the onboard wireless NIC to keep costs down.
cheers,
Seb.
