We installed a SPA 4XT3/E3 Copper DS3 Module into our Cisco 7609 SIP-400 Module and got these errors:

SPA-UNSUPPORTED: The SPA-4XT3/E3 in 4/2 is unsupported by the SIP-400

We reloaded the SPA and SIP cards with no luck.
A text document of the sh log, sh module, and show monitor event-trace spa latest are attached.

Hello Dennis,
it should be supported as reported here
table 2-5
from your log files I see you are running 12.2(33)SRB2 I would suggest if possible to test with another IOS image like SRE series
Hope to help

This spa is not supported in the sip-400 until SRC.
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/routers/7600/Hardware/12.2SR_supported_hw/7600_hwd.html#wp1036097
You will need to run SRC or higher for this combination to work

Thanks guys!
We actually were talking to our Cisco sales rep and was told that this was compatible, until we inserted it into the SIP module. The logs definately tell the story. We are looking at upgrading our IOS after we confirm and close this ticket with TAC.
I'm glad I posted here. Very helpful!!!
