Suggestion for new implementation

Hi

All,

We have existing 3845 Edge router  and 22 Remote location branches all branches have different series of router like ,1800, 2600, 2900 Etc,  now management want to deploye  a new router and the existing (3845 ) router will be for backup , suggest me which series or module of router we can deploye , and our all branches are connecting with MPLS IP-VPN ,

If the 3845 was meeting your needs what's the reason for the replacement?

The replacement model for the 3800 series is the 3900 series, so if the previous router was adequate enough, go with the 3945.

As Edison describes, the 3945 is the model that replaces the 3845, however the newer ISRs have more forwarding capacity than those they replace, so depending on your performance needs you might be able to downsize.  See attachment for comparative performance.
