Switch for Fiber Termination

Hi,

Can any one suggest me for a basic Cisco switch for terminating a dark fibre. This switch will not be performing any other activities apart from the fibre termination.

for terminating a Gigabit ethernet a C2950 is enough

Depending on models they can host two uplink ports that use GBIC modules.

The Cisco ME3400 will do. ME-3400-24FS with SFP ports.

Note: the 24 sfp ports are 100mb.

If you need gigabit ports you can use the 3750-12S.
