I have a T1 line that connects to a seperate CSU/DSU that is managed by the service provider.
I manage the router. What configuration do I need to put on the serial interface of the router to get the T1 going. Do I just have to put an IP address on the Serial interface that connects to the ISPs CSU/DSU or do I have to put all those extra controller commands, such as the line code etc. ?
Thank You for any reponses

You would configure just the IP address on your router Serial interface and the encapsulation type. Default encap on Cisco Serial interface is HDLC. In addition, add a static default route to point to your ISP.
Pls. rate all helpful posts.
