I have an ASR(A901-6CZ-F-D) that At&T Passes traffic through. They are saying there's up to 7% packet loss for them in an hour at this site. I have many sites that provide this same service but this one is causing them issues. I'm not noticing any bad behavior for my services though.
When I look at the interface leading back to my core (outside) switch, it does have a large amount of unknown protocol drops. But so do all my other routers serving this purpose. I saw in another forum post it could be a common result of DTM from a router to a switch being trunked but I'm not sure. The switchports at the other end are nonegotiate.
If, theoretically, DTM is causing the unknown protocol drops, then I'm not sure how to see the packet loss for At&t.
Any advise is greatly appreciated.
