Hi everyone,
I'm about to install a new E1 onto my 3845 as backup line for my data network.
We usually use VWIC2 cards since our infrastructure covers EU and US sites. But this time, I ran out of stock and so did my supplier.
I have a VWIC-1MFT-G703 card here but not sure if it would work. What is the difference compared to the regular VWIC-1MFT-E1 ?
FYI, I run 12.4 T train release on my 3845s.
Thanks,
Tom

Hi Thomas,
G703 card supports unframed mode whereas regular E1 card does not. Basically G703 card should be able to handle the same as regular E1 card (frame circuit) plus unframed circuits.
I hope this helps.

Hi Juan,
Thanks very much for the explanation. I was focusing on VWIC support pages and couldn't find the info.
I now tried matching G703 and found this document relating everything in more details :

Might help other folks.
