Hi Imedina,
This config is on line vty 0 4 which means that anybody who will try to access these lines only protocols mentioned below will be allowed.
Like if you remove telnet from line vty 0 4 ...no body will be able to telnet into the device (through these lines) but still be able to rlogin and pad and ssh.
Same way it applies to other protocols. When you access the device there are different applicatiosn and protocols which let you access like ssh, telnet and it depens which all way you want to access your devices.

Hi Ankur,
thenks for the replay.
I'm familiar with the "transport input" command and its uses, my question is what is the "acercon" stand for? is it a protocol? like telnet and ssh? do you have any link for this?
thanks.

Hi
Try this link (PDF File) and see in page 96.
http://www.office-trade.com/pdf/6774856.pdf
The cisco document contains this word "acercon"
I could not find the meaning of this word.
It may be Acer Server Management Console software ver.6.0

The link below explains ACERON; essentially it is referring to an ACE module in a chassis environment.
