WUG gives you more of a pictorial representation of the network topology which is very ideal to identify a failed device quickly

LMS on the other hand is a complete lan managament suite and has very rich features like backups, netconfigs etc.. (not sure if WUG also does this now but we primary use it for the reason i stated above

What are the client requirements?

One has feature that the other don't have (vice versa). When comparing both products, you have to compare apple/apple - which mean the feature that the client required that both product can provide. Some people recommend/bought products that rich in features (for a cost) not necessary required initially telling/hoping that it will be needed in the future. In my experience, most of them never happen - at the end, the product becomes a white elephant (operational/maintenance cost).
