Dear all friends and experts.,

We have two routers (R1, R2) ISR 4331, and one of two device does not work anymore (R2)

- We want to replace R2 to a new one.

As my understand , I need onbroad the new device and assign the same devices template with R2 old, is this right solution ?

Thank all you guys so much !

You can use the following guide for the procedure: https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/support/docs/routers/sd-wan/217606-replace-a-cedge-rma-router.html

Hi,

check what type of certificate do you use for controllers and routers. Onboard router and attach template. If you have some dedicated maintenance window, it should not be problematic.

No, it does not affect if you detach template from only one router. This warning means that, system does not store variable values for removing devices. So, just backup for easy new device onboarding (if you will be).

I am following the guide from cisco , the document said :

Remove the Failed Device from the Device Template Attached , After the device template removal, all the variable values from the template are lost.

Is this impact to other routers in devices template , in this template we have 4 routers  ?.

Thank you so much !

you only detach the failed one - so that should not impact.
