4G HBA in IBM p6 520 Server

Hi All

Just a quick one.

We have connected 8GB Fiber channel SFP (DS-SFP-FC8G-SW) in Nexus 5k to an IBM server having 4G HBA card, and the interface doesnt come up. I tried setting the speed to 4000 and no luck. Not sure of the config in IBM server, but do we need anything else on Cisco Nexus for this? This is the first time we have a server with 4G NIC card. We have been having 8G SFP servers' working good. Interface never comes up with 4G NIC.

fc2/5 is down (Link failure or not-connected)

    Hardware is Fibre Channel, SFP is short wave laser w/o OFC (SN)

Have you tried setting FC interface to auto mode? Also check HBA timeout setting if any. Also, see if you have OSM violation.

Problem solved..

The server team deleted the fiber adapters and re-discovered the adapters by changing the  property of init_link='pt2pt'.
