adding "Hex Path Identifier" to Cisco Channel Interface

Hi,

does anyone know a scenario to add additional "hex path identifier" to cisco channel interface (IP Hst Backup Group) without negating the complete Group?

i.e. existing is: path d850 1690

trying to override results in the following:

...(config-if)#path D850 1690 db50

%path D850 1690 DB50

conflicts with

path D850 1690

Negating the complete statement will "drop" all the connections.

regards

Frank

cipCardClawConfigPath specifies the Hex path identifier for the switch port containing the fiber from the channel on the host to which this task connects. This is a concatenation of the switch port number, the channel logical address, and the control unit logical address.
