Cisco UCS Manager - Reform RAID

Hi,

I have a UCS Manager connected a Chassis with 6 x blades. I want to reconfigure one of blade's RAID from 1 to 0.

I moved all VMs to the other blades.

How can I reconfigure one of blade's RAID from 1 to 0? Just change the Local Disk Configuration Policy is fine? Need reboot the blade reform the RAID configuration and reinstall the ESXi?

Greetings.

If you are using the same service profile (just tweaking the local disk policy), then you should be fine.

If you are planning on using a different service profile for the esxi rebuild, then make sure you un-check the 'Protect Configuration' box in the currently applied local disk policy before you disassociate the currently applied service profile.

Thanks,

Kirk...

Actually, I had created two local disk policies (1. RAID 1; 2. RAID 0) and tweaked the policy already and save, that is none working? Any idea?

Try re-acking the blade.

I would expect a decommission and re-ack to for sure work, but am hoping just a re-ack will work for you.

What UCSM code level are you on?

Thanks,

Kirk...
