(CiscoASR1002-X) Cause of increasing frame item in input error

Below is the product information I use.

 

1. System: CiscoASR1002-X

2. NIC: SPA-1X10GE-L-V2

3. OS Ver: XE 3.10.1S

 

The input error increased as shown below, increased in the frame item. May I know when this item is incremented?

what device connected other side :

 

MTU 1550 bytes, BW 10000000 Kbit/sec, DLY 10 usec,
3618 input errors, 0 CRC, 3618 frame, 0 overrun, 0 ignored

 

you also have input errors here :

 

have you changed teh MTU ?

 

my suggestions :

 

1. check the Physical cable.

2. check other side MTU

3. check any speed mismatch,

4. check the logs both the ends
