Bridging over PPP is supported.

Hi Rona,
It is not bridging over PPP. It is bridging over PPP tunneling. PPP tunneling is one of the VPN topologies. It is supposed to do a LAN to LAN over an IP cloud.

Hi Dixon,
When you say LAN to LAN, do you mean that it is the same subnet at both ends of the tunnel? If so, then it may be possible to bridge (although I couldn't find any examples).
My only experience of VPN is using the 3000 concentrator and I can't see how it would support bridging.

Hi Rona,
I know what customer wants, but I do not know if this is supported. Customer wants to bridge non-IP packet between two sites connected by an IP network. DLSw is the most logical choice. As Cisco 800 does not support DLSw, he cannot use DLSw. He is trying to getting around the problem by using PPP Tunnel (i.e. VPN). I do not know if PPP tunnel supports transparent bridging or not. If customer opens a TAC case, I am sure that he will get the answer right away.
