Folks - I am trying to understand the mapping between EVPN constructs. Can someone please validate my understanding, as described in the following bullet points?
- A tenant (Say, Tenant 1) may be assigned multiple L2VNIs (Say, VNI 10001-10005), one for each of 5 VLANs.
- Then those L2VNIs are mapped to the same Tenant VRF (Let's call it VRF 1. Each Tenant is typically assigned one VRF. )
- Then VRF 1 would be mapped to a single L3VNI
This mapping implicitly resolves to the idea that multiple L2VNIs get mapped to one L3VNI. Is that correct or does each L2VNI get mapped to its own L3VNI?
