From which version to which version was the upgrade done ?

It seems, that the slave FI was done, and you ack'd to go ahead with the slave (subordinate) FI ?

Can you please post the firmware information of the FI's

Also output of "show cluster sta..."

i am going from 2.1(3a) to 2.2(3d)

show cluster state shows

sh cluster state
Cluster Id: 0xea47020a0db511e4-0xb742002a6aca0284

B: UP, PRIMARY
A: UP, SUBORDINATE

HA READY

The infrastructure upgrade (UCSM, IOM and FI) looks perfect to me; cluster is also perfect. It might be a cosmetic bug ? or the cleanup didn't finish properly.

on the subordinate:

show cluster state
Cluster Id: 0xea47020a0db511e4-0xb742002a6aca0284

A: UP, SUBORDINATE
B: UP, PRIMARY

INTERNAL NETWORK INTERFACES:
eth1, UP
eth2, DOWN

HA READY

eth2 shows down.

and on the primary

show cluster state
Cluster Id: 0xea47020a0db511e4-0xb742002a6aca0284

B: UP, PRIMARY
A: UP, SUBORDINATE

INTERNAL NETWORK INTERFACES:
eth1, UP
eth2, DOWN

HA READY

eth2 shows down?

is this the problem?

Maybe ! It is definitely a problem, you have a single point of failure

Was this working before the upgrade ?

Is the heartbeat a direct connection (cable) ?

What is the distance in between ?

Or was a port failing during the upgrade ?

its a new setup so I dont know. I know the cluster ports are all connected. L1 to L1 and L2 to L2

but why is eth2 showing down? I have link lights on both
